The BROOKLYN BRIDGE ROTARY CLUB is a relatively new Rotary club (established in 2011), carrying on a 100-year-old tradition of Rotary in Brooklyn.

Our club meets, generally, the second and fourth Tuesday of the month (holidays excluded) at St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street, Brooklyn, New York , in Downtown Brooklyn NY. Please look at our calendar which sets forth our meeting schedule.  Please note that you can access our calendar by opening the Events/Calendar Tab on the Home Page.  On the weeks that we do not have meetings at St. Francis College, we have scheduled hands-on projects for members to participate in.  These projects  are also listed in our calendar.

Please enjoy our pictures located in the Review Tabs, located at the top of the menu, and check us out on Facebook.

If you are interested in learning more about Rotary, or if you’re “making up” from another Rotary club, we’d love to greet you! (Call our President Angélicque M. Moreno or email her at AMoreno@jkavanzino.com.

St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street, Brooklyn, New York is near Brooklyn Borough Hall, the MetroTech office campus, Fulton Street Mall, and (of course) the BROOKLYN BRIDGE. It’s within walking distance of 3 other colleges (NYU-Polytechnic, Brooklyn Law, and LIU Brooklyn) and the historic Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and DUMBO neighborhoods.

St. Francis College is easy to reach on foot, by car or cab, or by subway (A,C,F to Jay Street; 4,5 to Boro Hall; 2,3 and R to Court Street Boro Hall).

  1. Congratulations on your start as a new Rotary club. I am hoping that you can help me with my quest. I am a member and past president of the Rotary Club of St. Paul, MN. My wife and I hope to retire in the next several months. My wife and I are planning to move to New York City for six months to start our retirement. We are looking for an apartment to rent for those six months. Our thought is that Brooklyn would be a good place to live. I am writing to see if there is anybody in your club that would be able to help us to find a place to rent? If there is no real estate agent in your club, could your recommend somebody for us to contact? Al Zdrazil 651-675-9838

  3. Dear Rotary Fellows from the Brooklyn Bridge Rotary Club,

My name is Juliana Silva and I am a Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Ituverava, SP, Brazil – District 4540. I teach English as a Foreign Language in Brazil and I will be taking a group of students to NY for a week as a group tour in november, 2011. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to attend a rotary meeting with you guys on November 17th, 2011. It will be on a thursday which is a perfect day for me because on this day the students will be in Washington and I will have the whole day just for myself and for my husband.

I am also a former rotary exchange student (1995-1996 in Minnesota) so rotary has always played a very important role in my life.

I will be waiting for your contact. This will be my first rotary meeting that i will be attending outside my own club as a Rotarian. So feel free to give any direction about what to do, if I have to pay for anything, if it will be possible to exchange flags (I don’t know if they are called flags but I hope you understand).

I will be waiting for your contact.

    Juliana Silva
