The Brooklyn Rail, a newspaper in hipster Williamsburg, recently wrote how Rotary’s Gift of Life touched the heart of a Brooklyn father, and saved the lives of children in Russia:
Since its founding 35 years ago, G.O.L. has grown into an international organization with 60 programs scattered throughout the world. Kids from 64 countries on six continents have been treated, at no cost to them, thanks toG.O.L.’s intrepid fundraising and the volunteer efforts of doctors, hospitals, translators, and hand-holders.
The Gift of Life keeps on giving.
This is one more reason that we are proud to be Rotarians!
